The Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics is home to a wide array of fundamental research projects and is involved in many cutting-edge facilities. Postdoctoral scholars play a vital role in advancing departmental research that investigates the biggest questions in astronomy and astrophysics. In addition, the participation of postdocs in the life of the department enriches both the scientific and social fabric of our community and often leads to enduring connections. We offer numerous prize fellowship opportunities for individuals to join our stimulating intellectual community to pursue independent research projects. In addition, the Department serves as a host institute for several external postdoctoral fellowships. We encourage interested applicants to contact the department.
