### Yuankang Liu, ETH Zurich, "A Sub-grid Turbulent Dynamo Model for Cosmic Magnetism"

Magnetic fields are ubiquitous in the Universe. The study of magnetic fields in cosmological simulations has only been appreciated in recent decades with the advancement of high-performance computing tools. In this talk, I will present a new subgrid turbulent dynamo model in the RAMSES code to model the turbulent dynamo processes in turbulent environments. The subgrid dynamo model has been tested in a cosmological zoom-in simulation. Starting from an initially weak seed field, the magnetic field in the disk gradually reaches equipartition with the turbulent energy density with a typical strength of around 10 $\mu \mathrm{G}$, which remains almost constant to $z = 0.2$. The magnetic field strength is around tens of nG at $z = 0.2$ in the circumgalactic regions. I will also show Faraday Rotation maps generated based on this simulation and compare them with current radio observations.
