Alvine Kamaha (UCLA) "Searching for Dark Matter With LUX-ZEPLIN"

Host: Keisuke Inomata

Searching for dark matter is one of the key focuses in particle physics research. Many experiments are in the race for its discovery. One of them is the LUX-ZEPLIN (LZ) experiment, the US flagship dark matter experiment which has been designed to reach an unprecedented sensitivity in dark matter searches. In this talk, I will first discuss the dark matter evidence and detection technologies. I will then discuss the LZ experiment, its status and outlook.
