Keisuke Harigaya (UChicago) "Rotating scalar fields in the early universe"
Well-motivated extensions of the Standard Model of particle physics, such as supersymmetry and QCD axion, contain complex scalar fields. They can rotate in the early universe. We discuss possible cosmological roles of such rotating scalar fields, including the generation of dark matter, baryon asymmetry, and cosmic fluctuations.
