Nicola Bellomo (UT Austin) "Understanding the nature of dark matter"

Despite many astrophysical and cosmological probes have confirmed the existence of dark matter, very little is known about its properties. In this talk I will present novel ways in which dark matter nature can be constrained by taking advantage of future datasets. In particular I will discuss the current status of Primordial Black Holes, why they are less constrained than what is usually thought, and how combining galaxy surveys data with gravitational waves detections we can statistically determine whether black holes detected by LIGO-Virgo have a primordial origin.
