Jane Rigby (NASA) "Using Gravitational Lensing to Dissect Star-Forming Galaxies"
Gravitational lensing enables the study of distant galaxies in ways that will remain otherwise impossible until we build bigger telescopes. I’ll summarize several spectroscopic programs to study how galaxies form their stars, using data from JWST, Magellan, and Hubble. These studies probe spatial scales of <100 pc, the scales of individual star clusters.
