Title: Dark Matter Particle Physics and the First Galaxies

Abstract: The first galaxies in the universe formed in pristine primordial gas in dark matter-dominated halos. I will discuss what astrophysical and cosmological searches can tell us about the nature of dark matter and how the particle physics of dark matter may have altered the evolution of gaseous halos at Cosmic Dawn. With ongoing modeling of these effects, upcoming observations of reionization and early galaxies may help constrain dark matter models and help us to more consistently describe the interactions between dark matter and the earliest structures.
