The IAU PhD Prize recognises the outstanding scientific achievements of astronomy PhD students around the world. Megan Mansfield won a 2021 IAU PhD Prize for her PhD Thesis “Revealing the Atmospheres of Highly Irradiated Exoplanets: From Ultra-Hot Jupiters to Venus Analogues”. Megan was a student in the Geophysical Sciences and her primary advisor was Prof. Jacob Bean.
